The Aviation Distribution System (ADS) SIRIN was created on the basis of Sirena-2.3 centers, thanks to the fact that Sirena-2.3 centers are able to act not only as airline reservations systems, but also perform the role of distribution among the agents of many airlines. And each center taking part in ADS SIRIN is called a SIRIN-center.
All SIRIN-centers have access to the resources of other centers in Sirena-2.3, and also the resources of airlines hosted in the GABRIEL system. Access to the resources of airlines can be realized at a high (interactive) level should they want it. Other reservation systems both domestic and foreign can also be connected to ARS SIRIN.
The terminal network of ARS SIRIN is formed from the terminal networks of SIRIN-centers. Several thousand agents of SIRIN-centers have the opportunity to construct routings and book the majority of internal flights on domestic carriers on the first terminal screen.
In world practice, there are no analogous instances of the union of a large number of airline centers into a unified distribution system. Such a decision was taken by TAIS, first of all in the interests of Sirena-2.3 centers, and secondly in the interests of airlines and agents. Agents who maintained a connection to a Sirena-2.3 center and thus the technology of work they were accustomed to, also received access to the large volume of resources available to ADS SIRIN as a whole. Airlines, for their part, preserved their extensive agent networks.
In the multi-center architecture of ADS SIRIN the centralized support of the up-to-date condition of all SIRIN-centers is maintained. This task is solved by the central network equipment and software system of ADS SIRIN, which is owned by the Technology Consortium OOO KTTs SIRIN. For this purpose KTTs SIRIN realizes the collection, processing, and centralized distribution of information to all SIRIN-centers.
Thanks to the centralization of technological and commercial functions ADS SIRIN acts in the aviation market as a unified system. The latest development work of TAIS, directed at increasing the effectiveness of ARS SIRIN, are:
- high-level (interactive) access to resources in the GABRIEL system;
- a graphic agent terminal;
- technology for Optimal fares;
- modernization of the ticketing system.
