The growing popularity of the Internet and its accessibility to an ever growing number of users presents a unique opportunity to provide the average user access to reservations systems. Hiding behind the simplicity of a graphic interface the complex interaction with reservations systems, we present the user with a simple and convenient mechanism both for access to reference information, and for the reservation of the necessary flights.
TAIS offers airlines and agencies the software product SIG23 (Sirena Internet Gateway) for organizing the interaction of their site with reservations systems. Such types of programs are called “engines”. On the basis of our engine around ten active sites have already been created, including Avantix.ru — the first domestic online resource with the ability to book seats. Besides the supply of SIG23, TAIS is also ready to take on the full support of the project of implementation of online reservations in an agency or airline.
Information which is received by a user by means of the site of an agency or airline equipped with SIG23 is current at any point in time, since its source is immediately in the reservations system.
If a site belongs to an airline, then the clients have access to the flights of this airline, and also to those of other airlines with which there exists an interline agreement. In this case the site engine acts directly with the reservations system of the airline. If the site belongs to an agency, then it is connected to ADS SIRIN. In the latter case, the client receives the opportunity to book on the flights of all domestic airlines accessible in this system.
