The fares system of “Sirena-2.3” has evolved over the past 8 years from the concept of “one flight — one fare” to a modern, highly productive and flexible instrument, the functionality of which should satisfy the demands of the commercial service of any airline.
At the current time it supplies automatic pricing of transport of all types in accordance with industry standards, flexible queries about fares, rules for their application and airport fees, calculation of baggage allowances and fees for excess baggage, a system for currency conversion, and other functions.
A unique system for searching for optimal fares which takes into account actual seat availability allows agents to pick the best routing of a complex route by price and to ticket with a minimal number of system entries. In this way, airlines can get the most attractive fares to agents as quickly as possible.
The fares subsystem secures a high level of productivity even on relatively less powerful computers by using a unique technology for caching data used earlier.
The operator’s graphic user interface allows for manipulating all objects of tariff information easily, and changes are brought online immediately.
The archive system allows for easily recognizing the history of fare changes and for conducting a fare quote for any past date of sale.
Airlines can create a fare center in their reservation center, from which fare and rules data become immediately activated in the Airline Reservations System (ARS) SIRIN. Support of information concerning fees and currency rates from the Russian domestic fare administration center (TsRT), and from 2005 for IATA fees and rates are a part of the information support which comes to members of ARS SIRIN and allows airlines to concentrate on entry of their own data.
