Sirena-2.3’s ticketing system allows for maximum acceleration of the process of issuance of standard travel documents, for minimization of mistakes and illegitimate actions by ticketing agents, and also for automating accounting procedures for airlines and agencies on thanks to the archiving of all operations with standard travel documents. The issuance of tickets on the airline’s own ticket stock takes place using either IATA rules or the rules of the Russian TCH (Transport Clearing House), according to the choice of the carrier.
The ticketing agents receive financial reports at the end of work which they can print. After attaching the necessary coupons, they should can turn it in to the senior agent. The archive of the ticketing system can be exported as a file which meets the standards of SSOD or DISH, for further processing by either a standard or custom revenue accounting system. This allows for airlines and agencies to substantially lessen their costs for processing flight coupons.
The reservation system may be configured so that the PNR time limit cannot be removed without saving a ticket mask in the system. This simple solution gives airlines the possibility to bring maximum order to the work of their agents without complex organizational procedures.
Any Epson compatible dot matrix printer can be used as a ticket printing device, which allows users to choose the optimal equipment according to their criteria of price and value. The system allows for automating issuance of both TAT/ORTAT as well as so called “manual” tickets. The positioning of information on the latter is produced with accuracy down to the fraction of a millimeter, and in case of insufficient free space the use of condensed fonts is applied.
The procedure for automating new forms for airline ticket stock has been very much simplified thanks to the fact that TAIS specialists have most thoroughly studied IATA and TCH rules for issuing transport documents, and after this formulated a survey form for airlines. When receiving a request for automating a standard travel document form and a completed survey form, in a short time TAIS specialists make the configuration adjustments necessary for completing the latest transport document.
At the current time, TAIS is working on electronic ticketing, which will allow airlines to receive revenue immediately on the sales day, substantially cut costs related to the circulation of ticket stock, and increase the volume of direct Internet sales many times over.
